When I was on their site I was amazed by the amount of lighting products they offer. I mean the selection seems to good to be true. Lighting for outdoors can make any home or business look great. Bold Statement!

I don’t think I ever meet a person that hasn’t used Wikipedia at one time or another.  The reason I’m saying that is because Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales stated to AFP in an interview the internet is still in it’s infancy.  Now that’s a bold statement, but he’s right, we’ve only scatched the surface of the internet.  If you never used Wikipedia you should give it a try, it’s right for the most part.  I should say though, don’t believe everything you read there.   What makes the site Wikipedia neat is you can look up just about anything, like Murray Feiss lighting, baseball cards, or just about anything else you can think of, it’s amazing.  And the great thing about this site is that it allows anyone connected to the internet to add entries and edit content.  So if you think something is wrong in an entry you can edit it by adding your content, thus it grows with different views.  I like Wikipedia and use it anytime I need to understand something, from everyones view.

Acquisition Of Sun!

The deal between IBM and Sun Microsystems looks to be almost complete. I read that the main reason for the hold up is the price. Of course Sun would like to get what they feel their worth, and IBM wants to payless. The deal will happen at any price, because IBM wants Sun badly, and Sun Knows this. The technology that is coming with Sun is something IBM has be after for years.

Sun Microsystems true value doesn’t show in their stock value. I think because of the state of the economy Sun lost a lot of value, stock value. Just about every publicly traded company lost stock value, which makes them easy to be taken over by giants like IBM. These smaller tech companies need to hold their ground from take over bids from giants like IBM. If they don’t IBM will take them all over, one by one. And in the end, consumers will pay the higher price for all their tech toys. Any way’s, after their done working out the price the deal will come under heavy antitrust scrutiny. So the deal could still fail, but most likely it will not.

Bartz And Yahoo!

The new CEO for Yahoo Inc Carol Bartz is shaken things up within Yahoo. One of the major changes she’s making is forcing CFO Blake Jorgensen out. Now he’s not leaving just yet, they need to replace him first. Making changes with top officers of a company will either make their stock raise or sank. So hopeful Bartz knows what she doing here. I was reading that Bartz said “People here have impressed the hell out of me.” I’m guessing here, but I don’t think Jorgensen wasn’t one of them. With these major changes going on within upper management it just might be time to get back into Yahoo. After all their still a major player when it comes to search engines. So who knows what will happen next with Yahoo. I think their setting up for a sale to Microsoft, watch and see.
