Now I understand that you really can’t put a price on safety and protecting your business, so price shouldn’t come into play that much. But if someone were offering me something that would keep my employees and customers safe I would jump on it quick. Protecting everyone in your business from crocks is always a good move in my book. If I feel safe in or around your business I’ll be back. So do the right thing, and make the effort to keep people safe. I would also suggest get a playbook tablet to watch those cameras on the go. Right now I use my notebook, but I have considered a tablet.

NetBooks, What do you think about them? My take on the netbooks is that there a thing of the past. Yes I know there a new thing sweeping across the world right now. But come on, there powerless, limited performance and only good for one thing, the Internet. And I would be willing to question that. Maybe some day they’ll come up with a booster for them, like they did for the cell phone, the wireless booster.

They are cheap however, about $300 for most of the powerful units. You can upgrade from the standard unit but would never compare to the standard laptops power. Anyway, a lot people like the netbook, after all they are very portable and generally more rugged than the laptop. Me personally, I will never buy one, not my thing. I’m going to stick with the laptops, I need power.

The debate on how much control the government should take over the Internet rages on. There are about 18 bills so far introduced into Congress to give the government to take control on the Internet during a cyberattack. Giving control to the government to turn off the Internet isn’t a good idea at all. If we’ve learned anything from the past, we shouldn’t give the government control the chance to act when something happens. That’s because they will thing they can take control anytime they want, which they would do. If the government gets their way, I would recommend everyone find a way to backup their stuff before the switch is turned to the off. Because one day it may come that when you go to get online you won’t be able to. And it will because the government has shut it down for some dump reason.

Most computer makers are up again. Profits for most are up mostly for their cost-cutting, and moving into a few new markets. They also reported that they lost a ton of revenue in four of its main divisions, PCs, servers, software and printers. I’m not sure what the ordis did for sales, but I’m sure they did just fine. Most computer makers are going to report drops in sales because of the economy, but numbers are up because of all the cuts. Over time sales are This is going to need go back up because you can only cut so much. So we’ll have to wait and see how things go over the next few months.

A few sources I need it for is the satellite system, HD DVD, Blu-Ray Disc, and PS3. So make sure you check out as many cable you can, not all are the same.

I was just reading online that Frontier Communications Co. will soon start charging their subscribers a dollar or two per gigabyte of Internet traffic if they go over the monthly allotments. Why in the world would they try to do this? It really makes no since to me. With a lot of new technology in some of these web sites out there you could go over that in no time. I feel this will hurt Frontier down the road. They will lose customers to Time Warner roadrunner service. If you ask me I’m surprise that dial up is still being purchased by people. Anyway, Frontier said that most people don’t even come close to the 5 GB allotments. They did say that if you download movies you could go over 5 GB allotment. If someone uses 2 GB’s and someone else uses 7 GB’s this should even everything out. If you’re going to charge for people going over then you should give a discount for people staying under. And are these customers going to monitor where there at as far as GB’s? I guess no more sitting around in your nice log furniture and downloading movies for a lot of people. I say get roadrunner, You’ll never look back.

As most of you already know I’ve had huge problems in the past with my hosting provider’s. And I’m sure I’m not alone in making this statement. I’m no different than millions of other people or businesses out there with hosting problems. What did set me apart from a lot of other people and businesses is the fact that I said “no more.” I made the choice to pickup all my sites and move them to another hosting provider. I did have to get some help from a few web site builders, but was worth it. This was the hardest thing I’ve ever done online. The work that was involved was unbelievable. I don’t think I ever meet a person that hasn’t used Wikipedia at one time or another.  The reason I’m saying that is because Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales stated to AFP in an interview the internet is still in it’s infancy.  Now that’s a bold statement, but he’s right, we’ve only scatched the surface of the internet.  If you never used Wikipedia you should give it a try, it’s right for the most part.  I should say though, don’t believe everything you read there.   What makes the site Wikipedia neat is you can look up just about anything, like Murray Feiss lighting, baseball cards, or just about anything else you can think of, it’s amazing.  And the great thing about this site is that it allows anyone connected to the internet to add entries and edit content.  So if you think something is wrong in an entry you can edit it by adding your content, thus it grows with different views.  I like Wikipedia and use it anytime I need to understand something, from everyones view.
