I haven’t talked about the chemical industry for some time now. Maybe because I’m invested in it and it’s not doing to well. The chemical makers like Ashland, Dow Chemical and Rohm & Haas haven’t been doing to hot over the last few years. Mostly because of the chemical products they produced have dropped off. When people stop buying things around the world this industry feels it the most. That’s because they make the raw materials that go into just about everything. All of these companies I just stated in this post have lost about 80 percent in value because of the down turn. Two of these companies had agree to come together before the down turn, Dow Chemical and Rohm & Haas. Dow Chemical was going to purchase Rohm & Haas for $78 a share. But that deal has since falling apart, and Dow Chemical was paying a $3 million a day fee until they close the deal. And this deal also sparked Rohm & Haas to file a lawsuit against Dow Chemical; it was a big mess. However, over the last 2 years these companies have had a come back, a huge come back. Ashland is up from a low of $5.35 a year ago to almost $54 a share today. I have shares in Ashland, and have done pretty good with them, I think they still have room to grow, anyway that’s what I’m hoping.

I came across a site the other day that has a review of travel guide book. If you’re k-12 teacher, homeschoolers, student, higher education professor, administrator you might want to check the site out. You can find the site by doing a search for travel guide book. Not only will you be visiting a great site you can enter into their weekly book giveaways. If you’re also looking lsat prep work do a search for that as well, pretty good sites out there which are completely free.

Here’s some interested reading I came across not to long ago. It seems that gastric bypass surgery offers no help if you have diabetes. I was really surprise about this, because I thought, and also read that the surgery was very helpful. I read that gastric bypass is now the most commonly performed weight-loss surgery in the U.S. And that almost 140,000 procedures done every year, that’s a lot. What ever happen with getting on a diet and sticking to it. Heck, there’s tons of ways to lose weight. One way is diet pills, do your own diet pill reviews on one’s like phentermine . And do a simple search and try taking that road if you can’t afford the surgery. Why do we need to just look for the quick fix all the time? I say, if your overweight just simply get out of the chair and go for a walk, that’s what I did. I got tired of being a little overweight and started walking, the fresh air and no food around really does work, it worked for me and it can work for you.

If you have plans on moving and are looking for a few good moving companies you need to make sure you do your research to find the best. There are a few sutes that could help, but I would do a search via a search engine of your choice. One of the things I would recommend is that you read a relocation guide, I don’t recommend one, any guide should do. These guides are packed with useful information to help you see what you will need to do. And the resources in these guides will help as well. These guides will even provide information in the areas of real estate, mortgage, moving, apartment hunting, life insurance quotes, jobs, and even home improvements. So don’t waste another minute, start your search now, it could save you some cash.

If any of you have an up coming move, or cross country moving plans I say good luck. This is one of the worse times to plan such a huge move. And they’re a lot of moving companies out there that could help make it much easier for you. Moving into a new home can be very stressful, image moving to another country. There’s nothing like someone else handling your move for you, so search out and hire someone to do the move for you. Having someone handle the move will cost you some money, but will lower your stress level a ton. So make sure you check out a few movers before you pick one. Make sure you research the one you choose, check reviews, could save you trouble down the road.

Well it seems that some precious personal belongings are coming up for auction from the Titanic. There’s a lady in London, her name is Millvina Dean, and she’s in need of some money to pay for her nursing home room. She’s the last known survivor of the Titanic sank in 1912. She was two months old when she was lowered in a lifeboat that cold April night. Her family, along with her brother, who was two at the time, were one of the few survivors. Anyway, she will be selling off a suitcase that was full of clothes. The suitcase was given to her and her family as a gift from New Yorkers to help rebuild their lives. I was reading that the suitcase could go as high as $5200 by the end of the auction. If you ask me, she would have a better chance in Las Vegas Nevada then selling off her precious items. Instead of this woman being forced to sell off her items for government should maybe step in and help. I only say this because I was reading that in Britain they have a free health care system for their elderly. Anyway, I’m sure she’ll get the money she needs to continue living in her private room at the private nursing home.

That’s all I have to say, unemployment. Where in the world are all of our jobs going, China? It can’t be China; their country is dropping faster than we are. I was just reading that the U.S. unemployment rate just went up to 6.1 percent in August. This is the highest that it has been in almost five years. And on top of that, it’s the eighth straight month that jobs have been cut in from U.S. economy. The Labor Department said today that 84,000 jobs were lost in the month of August. If you ask me the workforce hear in the U.S. is on track of cutting over 1,000,000 jobs by year’s end. And you know what, most of these jobs will never come back, that’s what’s sad. I really don’t have anymore to say on this, it just makes me get mad. The U.S. government needs to do something to save these jobs, after all it’s there job. I’m not asking for a hand out from the U.S. government, I would just like them to do what we all pay them to do.
