Weasels In Washington!

I’m going say this again, maybe even start a series on it. Our politicians are doing nothing for us Americans. Wait, they are doing something for us, they’re the reason behind most America’s problems. It used to be great to say you’re from an America, but not latley. Now people are afraid to say they’re an American, because of what other people from other countries will say to them. I do know that I’m proud to be an America and would die to defend this land. I would die for this country, for my family, and true Americans only, not politicians. Did you know that a lot of our politicians are crocks. You know what, I might do some research on everyone in office and list their backgrounds, what a surprise that would be. And I also do know that every single one in my opinion are a weasels. If you think any of them are looking out for you, you’re dead wrong, they’re looking out for themselves. Why do you think they spend millions of dollars to take office for $100,000 or so a year? It’s because of all lifetime medical and the fat book deals they get, they don’t care about us. How many broke former politicians do you know of? Back when America was born most of the politicians where broke, I mean died broke. Our founding fathers where true Americans, they lived and died for our country, sadly, not the same today. I will end on this, I believe that it’s time to take America back and give her to the people, and kick most of these weasels out of Washington.

Get the AED out, New York is in need of a jump. New York right now has no clear leadership in the State Senate. Although the Democratic party is the majority, the Republicans are taking them on, head on. Their so sick and tired of Majority Leader Sen. Malcolm Smith that they started a coalition to get him out and take over the majority. And they have the vote to do so. The reason they have the vote is because a few Democrats are just as sick of Smith, so their voting with the Republicans. But this whole mess is getting out of control, the Democrats won’t release majority and asked a judge to stop the Republicans. Not going to happen though, the judge ruled in with the Republicans, now what? I guess we can only hope that the Democrats will grow up and accept the new majority.

I was just reading that Obama’s administration decided to make public some of former President Bush‘s secrets on the war on terror. There’s really one reason for doing this, Obama is going to try to slip something by us. He’s trying to place blame on Bush’s administration for the war on terror. He wants to have us forget the fact that he’s bailing out every company that has made some of the biggest mistakes a company could make. So by getting us to look back at Bush he thinks people are not going to look at him writing a check to AIG for another $30 billion. The same company that just lost almost $62 billion in one quarter. And why in the world does he need to release these documents, what’s the point? We already know we’ve beat the crap out of these terror suspects, which I‘m sure was needed. Who knows how much info we got out of them that saved thousands of American lives. And lets not forget what happen on Sept. 11, 2001 when the terrorist attacks on American. After all they brought the fight to us, we just gave it back. I‘m 100 percent behind what President Bush did to those terrorists. I wonder what Obama would have done, nothing? He would have said, “ ok, don’t do that again or we’ll get mad.“ Here’s what Obama’s new Attorney General Eric Holder had to say “Too often over the past decade, the fight against terrorism has been viewed as a zero-sum battle with our civil liberties.” Does he need to be reminded that terrorists have no civil liberties, wake up and smell coffee Holder. I would have to say this is by far the dumbest move Obama has done, besides his welfare bailout plan. He needs to stop placing blame and start fixing things. I’m getting a little sick and tired of hearing him placing blame all the time. He’s only been on the job a few months, does he think he’s not going to make mistakes.

State In Trouble!

Over the weekend the state of California was unable to pass a budget that would close their $42 billion gap. Now Governor Schwarzenegger will need to layoff about 20,000 state workers. Also, all public works projects will come to a halt. Just by the cuts coming and the halt of projects just show that maybe there is some wasteful spending going on here. That just so happens how the state Republicans feel, but not the Demarcates.

By the numbers, this is what the Demarcates want – $15.1 billion in program cuts $14.4 billion in tax increases and $11.4 billion in borrowing. In my opinion raising taxes never work. The state of California is already losing more people then any other state in the Union. So why in the world would they want to raise taxes on the people and businesses staying? I have no answer to that, maybe some of you do. What I think as well as many others is they need to cut spending and services, all states need to do this. If you ever really look at a state budget for services you would be shocked. We do offer a lot of services that make no since. So Governor Schwarzenegger can start there and bring back services when the tax base calls for it. Seems pretty easy, because it is. The problem is no one ever wants to make the hard choice of cutting those jobs out.

I first need to say that this $838 billion stimulus bill is a bad idea. I have no idea why I think this, I guess in my gut I feel it’s wrong. My gut has never let me down in the past, so that’s why I’m going with it.

I know that something needs to e done, but reading what’s in this bill isn’t the answer. Some of the things that are in the bill have no business being there. I really don’t want to go line by line on this issue, but if you haven’t read the bill do so. The bill is loaded with pork barrel spending, just wearing a mask. President Obama said there would be no pork spending, but he’s full of crap. And as always, the Democrats and the Republicans are fighting. And the Democrats are pushing their way all over the Republicans, something that President Obama said he didn’t wan to see, which I think is a lie. If President Obama really cared he would listen to both sides, which he hasn’t. Anyway, President Obama got the votes he needed to prove he could get this passed. He had to give up over $100 billion to buy a few votes from the Republicans. He purchased the votes of Republican Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania which all voted for the bill. The test vote was 61 – 36 for the bill, which is one over the 60 needed. So if this does pass, and signed into law I sure hope my gut is wrong this time.

I have blogged about the impeachment trail against Gov. Rod Blagojevich of Ill in the past, which I still feel is wrong. He’s being impeachment because he’s been accused of selling President Obama’s Senate seat, and a few other charges. Also, as most of you already know, Gov. Rod Blagojevich hasn’t had his day in court yet. And because he hasn’t had his day in court he’s boycotting the impeachment hearing, which I think is a great idea, but could hurt him down the road. I also feel that he will be impeached no matter what he does, guilty or not. And that’s what makes this whole trial so wrong. Every American has the right to a fair trial. Right now Gov. Rod Blagojevich is in New York making a few TV appearances to try to prove he’s innocent. He’s done fighting behind closed doors, he’s now taking his case public, again, which I think is a good idea. But what do I know. I guess what I’m trying to say, and end with this, everyone has a right to a fair trail, I don’t care who you are, it’s the law of the land.

When President George W. Bush, well former President left office yesterday he left behind a folder for President Barack Obama. This folder was left on the most famous desk in the world, the Resolute desk which sits in the Oval Office of the White House. I can only image what words former President Bush had left for President Obama. One thing I sure about is that former President Bush said nothing but kind things in this letter. Bush made a lot of bad choices while President of the United States of America, but has always been honest with America, anyways that’s how I felt. And I’m sure President Obama will read this letter with a open heart and hold it close. The transfer of power has been the smoothest in American history, and that’s because of the way these two men are.

Coming To Washington!

Come this Tuesday we will have a new President of the United States of America, as most everyone in the world knows. I’m like most Americans, hoping for a new change. And President-elect Barack Obama needs to find away to get American back on track very quickly. And I think he’s already doing that considering he’s not even the President yet. He has a few huge packages ready to get approval by congress to give the economy a spark, which hopefully will turn into a long burning flame. If we as Americans don’t stand with him the nation will fail. We need to become one nation under God again, until then we will never grow as a nation again. So with that being said, Obama needs to first bring the country back together. And then work on fixing all of our problems.

Today Japan joins the 15-nation euro-zone as technically being in a recession. By having two straight quarters of a declining economy your considered in a recession. Japan’s last recession was in 2001 when their interest rate was set to zero percent. And that was just enough to get them out of that recession. I wonder what they will do this time to get out of a recession. Because they’re not alone, it will take a world effort to get out of this jam. If you didn’t know, Japan as the world’s second-largest economy, and could be facing more major problems ahead. It’s only a matter of time when the United States joins the ranks of the rest of the world to be considered in a recession. This would just add another bad thing to Bush’s list of bad choices. After all, he’s our leader and his people working for him should have seen this coming. Giving these financial companies a ton of freedom as ruined the world economy. And therefor no more money should be handed out, let them all fold. And only then will we be able to start over.

Today China released their huge $586 billion stimulus package. This will differently help ease some pressure on the global economy. The only thing is we need more countries to get inline and start releasing their stimulus packages. With the United States and now China’s stimulus packages this will force others to follow. If others don’t follow, it will be a great waist of money for the United States and China. This financially problem we’re all in is a global problem. So I sure hope things start happening with other countries very soon, before we fall deeper in the hole.
