Dark Knight Big Hit!

The movie Dark Knight is showing no signs of slowing down.  This movie just scored the top movie for it’s second week in a row.  On top of the best movie it’s made over $300 million in only 10 days, which is a record.  If this movie stays on this pace it will be the top movie ever.  Here’s some hard numbers for you.  The Dark Knight has sold over $75 million worth of tickets during the three days beginning Friday.  And in the first week it brought in $158 million. The Dark Knight is right now the second-biggest movie of the year.  If you already didn’t know, Titanic leads the way with $601 million in ticket sales.  And the last to hit the $400 million mark was the Pirates of the Caribbean.  I say this movie will be the #1 in a very short time, you’ll see.

NASCAR Experience!

Most of you know I’m a big NASCAR fan. Now I have the chance to get behind the driver’s wheel. And you also have the same chance to take the NASCAR experiences. There are a lot of packages that can fit into your budget. There’s a package that you can do 2 sessions of 15 laps around NASCAR’s 1.5-mile track. Now that sounds like a load of fun. Here’s what I like; you will also be reaching speeds up to 165 mph. This would be an experience to remember. If this sounds great to you, you must check the site out in this post.

Thumbs No More

Thumbs No More!

Roger Ebert has decided to leave the show he helped start.  And he’s taking his trademarked catchphrase ‘Two thumbs up’ with him.  He came to decision because of  sparring partner Richard Roeper announced he was unable to come to new terms on a new contract extension.  This was a shock to everyone that both would leave the show - At the Movies With Ebert and Roeper at the same time.  Roger Ebert launced this show in 1975 with the late Gene Siskel.  Without Ebert and Roeper I don’t see this show going anywhere.  I say they should do whatever it takes to get them both back in the seat.  These two worked great together.  It’s a shame what these studios are doing today.
