More Jobs Cut
July 3rd, 2008 by YoungMore Jobs Cut!
I came across an article on Yahoo! today that I also would like to share my thoughts on. For the 6th straight month now, jobs have been lost in this country. Although there was over 62,000 jobs cut in the month of June, the jobless rate stays at 5.5 percent. To me, 5.5 percent is high, just a few months ago it was below 4 percent. The reason I feel that more jobs are being cut is because everyone doesn’t want to spend any money. We’re all scared to let our money leave our hands. We’re all holding on to our cash very tight. I’ve been thinking like most other people out there, that bad times are coming, and coming fast. Think about it, if there are more jobs lost who’s making our stuff and growing our food. Come on, where do you think all of our stuff is coming from, imports? The more we import the more jobs are lost. And if people keep losing jobs, no one will buy all this crap coming in. The way we Americans think and do makes no real sense to me anymore. If I could, I would buy American made products every day. But some of the stuff we need isn’t even made in America anymore; it’s made in China. I find it very hard to purchase American made products, because there are none. I think Americans need to rethink the way we live and get back to what made this country work. We need to start making and growing our own needs and stop depending on other countries. We would be so much better off if we did this. It worked in the past and it can work again.
