Superhero Film!

It seems that the movie “Watchmen” will be in movie theaters on time. And hopefully on my tv stand when it hit’s the stores on DVD. This movie had big legal problems right from the start. Not with the making of it, but who owned the rights to it. Fox had acquired movie rights to “Watchmen” a novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons back in the 1980s. Then Warner Bros. made the movie a little over a year ago. But Fox claimed they still had some rights to the movie. But Fox claimed they only had very limited rights and notified Fox of those rights. To keep this short, the two companies went back a forth until a Judge stepped in and agreed with Fox. So then the two companies got together to work out agreement, which then did. Now all the fans of “Watchmen” can get their tickets and get ready for the release in movie theaters.

Coming To Washington!

Come this Tuesday we will have a new President of the United States of America, as most everyone in the world knows. I’m like most Americans, hoping for a new change. And President-elect Barack Obama needs to find away to get American back on track very quickly. And I think he’s already doing that considering he’s not even the President yet. He has a few huge packages ready to get approval by congress to give the economy a spark, which hopefully will turn into a long burning flame. If we as Americans don’t stand with him the nation will fail. We need to become one nation under God again, until then we will never grow as a nation again. So with that being said, Obama needs to first bring the country back together. And then work on fixing all of our problems.

New Leader In Kansas City!

Here’s some more sports news for you guys. The Kansas city Chiefs hired a general manager – Scott Pioli. Scott Pioli was the man who help make the New England Patriots are today. Anyway he’s taking over a young team with money to spend to get some new talent in. And he will only have one person to answer to – Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt. So that means be will basically have total control over the franchise. This type of person is just what the Chiefs need to give them a fresh start next year. Oh, and here’s a little did you know about Pioli. He’s the son-in-law of Bill Parcells, who’s the head boss for the Miami Dolphins, pretty interesting. I’m sure Parcells has taught Pioli a lot about managing an NFL team. After all Parcells is one of the greats in NFL history. This was a great selection by the Chiefs, Pioli will have this team up and running in no time. I only wish that the Vikings had tried to hire him.

I came a cross a pretty cool sports related website tonight that I would like to share with all of you. Most of you know I’m a sports nut and do a lot of reading on sports and most importantly the NFL. Know I have sites that I get a lot of sports news off already, but now that I found Comcast.net’s sports section I will be using them as well. And the reason why I’m going to be using them is because I was amazed how user friendly the site is. And I also like how all the top stories are right in your face, listed big and at the top. And they just don’t cover the NFL, they cover just about every sport there is. They offer sports news, videos, scores, picks and anything else you can think of.
