Google Search

Google Search!

Did anyone happen to notice this morning that Google search returns where showing that every site might be harmful to your computer? This happened to me and I was trying to see why it was happening. I switch over to Yahoo search and had no problems. So I started to think maybe it was something with Google. Well, it did end up being something with Google. They blamed the glitch on a human error. The error lasted about one hour before it was noticed by an on-call staff member. Google did apologized for the human error, which was quickly fixed. I wonder if Google fired the person for causing the problem. I’m sure it won’t be to hard for Google to find someone to replace this person. There’s thousands of people looking for jobs in IT. Hopefully this won’t happen again, because if it does I won’t be using Google again.

Starbucks In Trouble

Starbucks In Trouble!

Today Starbucks Corp. released 1st quarter profits, which where down almost 70 percent. That’s a huge percent to be down, that’s almost bankruptcy, which I’m sure will happen in a few months. There’s no way Starbucks can continue to offer $4.00 cups of coffee and stay in business. Most of their customers are the ones losing their jobs. And most of the other people like me are heading to McDonalds for the same crap. Heck, I can’t even remember the last time I purchased a cup of coffee.

Anyway, Starbucks is closing another 300 hundred stores on top of their 600 already planed. Their stating that this will result in about 6000 retail jobs lost and about 700 office jobs. I read that this cut will save them about $500 million this year. Hopefully they will be able to transfer some of those employees across the street to their other store, you know what I mean, and it’s true.

Online Fun

Online Fun!

Anyone looking to play online bingo?  If so click on the link. It looks like no more trips to the bingo hall for a lot of people out there once they see this site. This site offers a ton of bingo games, and hours of fun as well. I was poking around on this site for awhile tonight, it seemed pretty neat, considering I don’t gamble online. But I figured I’ll give them a shot since you are able to play free bingo and get some free cash to use.

I was reading that there are a lot of people out there playing internet bingo. And would it surprise you that the majority of the players are women? I wasn’t surprised at all when I read that, and if you’ve ever been to a bingo hall you’ll see why. So with that being said, check my video out and check the site out. And don’t forget to get your free $30 play cash.

The Mayor

The Mayor!

I just was reading the sports line and came across something that surprised me. I haven’t been surprised lately, so when I read this I fault I had to share it. Anyway, The Mayor of baseball is retiring after a short 12 year career. If you have no idea who the “The Mayor” is well I’ll tell you. That would be Sean Casey, who started his career back in 1998 with the Cincinnati Reds. Here’s why he’s known as “The Mayor,” it’s because everyone he seems to come in contact with knows him, and he knows them. I guess the reason for this is the fact that his position in the MLB was 1st base. Anytime a player on the other team made it to 1st base he would always greet them with a smile and started their name out with “Mr.” He would always joke with the base runners. He was very well liked by every player in the MLB, which says a lot about how he played the game. On top of being one of the true MLB players of the game, he was also a great player. He will end his career with a batting average of a 302, which is pretty good. On a side note, I think he has a few more good years left in him, but it’s his life and his choice. He also has a family at him, and this move could very well give him more time with them, which counts and should come first. Anyway, he’s now starting a new career with the MLB Network as a studio analyst. Which I’m sure he’ll have no problem at. The guy loves to talk, so he’ll fit right in. The game will miss him!
