Running To The Rescue

Running To The Rescue!

It seems that the automakers finally got their way and will be receiving $17.4 billion in government loans. President Bush as rescued another U.S. Industry on the backs of Americans. I’m going to have to get back to the gym and get on one of those treadmills to be able to carry other businesses. I’m getting a little tired of all these big companies crying for a government hand out. Hopeful my workout will be able to keep me going. Although I do understand that it’s not all on Bush, those crocks in the Congress have been handing out a lot of our money as well. Anyway, we’ll save talking about Congress for another day, because I will go nuts if I say anymore about them. Now back to the automakers loan, I did read that one good thing was going into the loan package. The Bush administration is giving them 3 months to get a good plan in place. If they fail to get back on track the loan will be called in and no more money will go out. By having this added in it could help us get our money back faster, or better yet stop the lending. I still think they shouldn’t get the money, but what do I really know?

At The Bottom

At The Bottom!

I’m starting to wonder if Wall Street finally hit rock bottom. With all the bad news swirling around Wall Street these days the market seems to be somewhat stable. Of course I could be completely wrong and things get worst in a heartbeat. Like if the automakers don’t get their loans, the market will drop a few percent. But President Bush isn’t going to let the automakers die on his watch. He’s going to keep them alive for the time being. I also think that the Senate doesn’t really listen to analysts who say we could lose as many as 3 million U.S. jobs next year without the loans. So, should we loan (give) them the money, or not? After looking at things much closer I’m still not sure what the best move on this issue is. Whatever happens is going to happen, you can’t stop it. If the automakers fail we’ll just have to come together as a nation and deal with it.

Travel Now!

With the economy in a major downturn if you can afford to travel you should. So of the biggest hot spots are extremely slow right now. Those hot spot are places like Las Vegas, NV and Orlando, FL. You can stay on the Las Vegas Strip for dirt-cheap prices. Even sites like Westgate have huge deals you really can’t pass up. I’m even starting to look at some of these places to travel to. With rooms and other fun things to do being discounted I really can’t over look them anymore, and neither should you. Anyway, save some money and shop around for some great deals, there out there, you just gotta find them. So do your searches and you will find what you’re looking for, I guarantee it.

Vikings On Top

Vikings On Top!

That’s right, my Minnesota Vikings are all alone in first place of the NFC North. And today’s game just shows how good of a team they can be. With Tarvaris Jackson finally playing the way he should we may now have a chance at going all the way, ok, I may be over doing it a little, but I’m hoping. If in case you missed the game we played the NFC West champion’s Arizona, which we beat 35-14. And Adrian Peterson rushed for 165 yards on 28 carries, which was a franchise record ninth 100-yard game of the season. He also broke the single season team record in rushing yards. So far he’s rushed just under 1,600 yards this season. It must because of his workouts on the ellipticals, or maybe he’s just that good. Anyway, the Vikings have a chance to take the NFC North with another win or a lose by the Chicago Bears. They haven’t finished in first since 2002, so let’s hope for one more win, it would be great.
