Favre No Show

Favre No Show!

I have read a few reports stating that Brett Favre didn’t report to the Green Bay Packers training camp Sunday.  The players we’re required to report by 7:30 am CDT.  Favre was reported stating that Packers general manager Ted Thompson had asked him for “a couple of days” to resolve the situation.  If he’s asking for a couple days that means in my opinion Farve is going to be traded.  Apparently my Vikings had messed things up and know he might be going with the New York Jets or Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  I guess I will need to just sit and hope the Vikings emerge as a possible shot.

Stock Market Dead

Stock Market Dead!

I can’t take this up and down of the stock market anymore.  I have lost a lot of money over the last few months.  I just keep sitting here saying to myself, things are going to get better, they have too.  At lease the oil prices are coming down some, but only for awhile I’m sure.  When stocks tumble like they did today it makes me feel very uneasy about things.  Our U.S. homes are worth 6% less than what they where a year ago.  That means no one can sell, they have to hold until they regain value.  But they too may never go back up in the near future, maybe some day.  So what’s next, will the U.S. Government jump in and try to really take action?  I don’t feel they’re doing their jobs.  They may think they are, but there not.  Just ask any American around you, I bet they will say the same thing about the U.S. Government.  Any ways, let hold on to hope and we should get through these bad times.

Ford Losing Money

Ford Losing Money!

What will happen to Ford Motor Co if they continue losing money?  The company went through nearly $11 billion of its cash reserves.  This is because of their second-quarter loss of $8.7 billion.  I really don’t understand how a company that loses that much money stays in business.  If they stay on this pace they will be locking the doors on all their plants across the world.  They do have a somewhat of a plan.  They will be focusing on cars that sell very well in Europe.  Ford announced plans to bring over six small, fuel-efficient cars it makes in Europe.  And will be reducing truck-heavy lineup.  But to import the cars will cost too much.  So they will be changing over their truck plants to make these cars.  Ford doesn’t think they will be ready until 2010.  But the real question is, will they make it till 2010.  This just comes to show that our country has let things get so far out of whack.  Maybe U.S. Congress will step in and save them too.  Hey, you never know!
