Stocks Jump!

Today was a fantastic day on Wall Street.  It seems that everyone was feeling good today. The Dow Jones industrial average rose by 266 points.  The price of oil went down by $2.54 to end at $122.19 a barrel.  Now hopefully we will start to see some savings at the pumps soon.  With the drop at the pumps, this could spark spending at malls.  Man, I sure hope the upbeat of confidence today rolls into tomorrow.  I will be watching and posting on the results of the Dow Jones industrial tomorrow.

Reduce Your Driving

Reduce Your Driving!

When you reduce your driving you save in more ways than one. Your helping the environment, losing weight, saving at the pump and now on your car insurance. GM car owners can now join a program to have their mileage statistics sent to GMAC Insurance. And if your yearly mileage is under 15,000, GMAC will cut its rates in most cases over 50%. You will need to opt-in because of privacy rights. I believe you can also take your driving statistics to your other insurance providers. Just yesterday I got my insurance reduced because of my driving habits. Just a simple call to your insurance company can get your rates lowered as well.

Ken Griffey In Deep

Ken Griffey In Deep!

Ken Griffey Jr made the throat slash gesture after he hit his 607th career homer.  The gesture was made as he crossed home plate.  This is a huge shocker to everyone; Griffey isn’t this type of player.  I don’t believe he has ever done anything that got him in trouble.  He has been in the league since 1989.  Let’s not let this gesture destroy his very clean record.  At first everyone speculated that Griffey was making the gesture toward someone in the stands.  But later Hal McCoy confirmed that it was meant for Reds announcer Jeff Brantley.  I have no idea why, but will find out.  What Griffey should do is come out a say he’s sorry and we all should move on.  But I have no idea what the whole story is on this, so he may never say he’s sorry.
