Corvette ZR1!

Corvette ZR1I have something great to share with everyone today. I just placed an order for my 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Would you believe that you have to pay cash for this? Banks aren’t handing out loans for a $103,300 auto. Here’s a little info on the engine. The engine has a 6.2-liter supercharged LS9 V-8. Which turns out an impressive 638 hp and an amazing 604 lb.-ft. of torque. Ok, you’re now asking what’s the top speed, well I’m told it can fly from 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph. Now you’re maybe asking about the fuel, yes premium fuel only. Again, what I was told is an estimated EPA fuel economy of 14-mpg city and 20 highway. Ok, I haven’t been completely honest with you guys today. I didn’t purchase the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, and never will, I’m hoping for one some day!

Overrated MLB Player!

Did any of you hear this? Derek Jeter was voted the most overrated player in a Sports Illustrated poll. This is another slap in the face for Derek Jeter. After all, he’s the team captain for the greatest team in major league baseball history, the NY Yankees. He has also won four World Series, World Series MVP and an eight-time all-star. This poll was based off the voting of 495 Major League Baseball players. If you want the complete list, check out Sports Illustrated’s website, you’ll get a good laugh.

Bear Stearns Managers

Bear Stearns Managers!

Did you all hear about this? It appears that two former Bear Stearns hedge fund managers were arrested and thrown in jail for lying to investors about the subprime mortgage market. Both men pleaded not guilty and we’re released on bond. One man’s bond was set at $4 million and the other guy had to put up $1.5 million. To keep this story short, they got caught by sending emails back and forth to each other, dumb. They we’re saying to each other is was time to close the funds. But at the same time asking people to invest more. Here’s a kicker, one of the men pulled $2 million of his own money out after he just told investor to put more in. I truly hope both of these guys spend some time in jail. When your in a trusted position like this, and your lying to investors, you deserve everything you get in the end – 20 years in prison.

Offshore Drilling

Offshore Drilling!

Bush is asking Congress to lift bans so we can start more offshore drilling. This step by President Bush is because even he thinks $4 plus a gallon is to high for Americans to pay. Here’s what I think, by lifting this ban - what short-term affects would this be for us? I honestly have no idea how this will all play out. What we really need to be doing is forcing OPEC to increase outage. Now that would have an immediately fix to the problem. Although lifting the ban would in my opinion help us down the road. I also feel that the ban will not be lifted, because the Democrat’s and Bush can never agree on anything. That is the true reason why American’s today have so many problems, our politicians. There a bunch of pencil pushing jerks that have no clue what us true Americans are going through. Yes, all politicians, I sick of all of them!

Goldman Sachs Profit

Goldman Sachs Profit!

How in the world did this happen - Goldman Sachs 2Q profit down but beats expectations? According to Goldman Sachs, their earnings where down 10%. I don’t know what expectations Wall Street had, but they must have been low. If you don’t know this already - Goldman Sachs Group Inc., is the world’s largest investment bank. A lot of money is made with Goldman Sachs, which’s why it’s big news in the investment world. You would think with this great news coming out, stocks would be up. But not the case, they’re down so far for the day. Maybe after lunch investors will feel better and start buying again.
